The Tipperary Sportage multi-discipline helmet was specifically designed to meet all the needs of the equestrian rider. Its fully vented shell and liner provides an overall cooler fit. The extended rear shell design was developed to provide a better lock of the helmet on the head, reducing roll off during a rough ride. Extended padding around the exterior edge of the shell for increased protection. Fully adjustable 4-point harness with a quick release buckle also ensures a perfect and secure fit. Adjustable soft inner cushion liner pads work with the shell design to provide a better overall comfortable fit. Color: Carbon gray. Sizing: Helmet/Head circumference/Hat size: X-Small/18.5-19.5in/5 3/4-6 1/8. Small/19.5-21in/6 1/8-6 5/8. Medium/21-22in/6 5/8-6 7/8. Large/22-23.5in/7-7 1/2. Measure 1'' above the eye brow. ASTM/SEI certified and approved.

Nice but did not fit Sep 14, 2007
The Tipperary is a nice helmet but they need to make it in an XLG size for those of us who are a skosh bigger than the LG sized helmet. The oblong shape fit me better than other helmets, just was too tight for me, unless I took out all the foam pads.

I have a hard to fit head, I guess, because I have had a really difficult time finding something that fits well since Lexington went out of business. My Tipperary is very comfortable and I forget it's there when I'm wearing it! The only thing that I have any problem with is that the chin strap is not ideal, I doesn't sit quite where I would like it to. It is easy to adjust the size of it and I love the way it looks. Highly recommend it!

This would probably be a great helmet if it came in all adult sizes. There is an XS size, but only large not XL. It's a bit too small for myself and a riding friend who is also an adult male.
Great style and color(mine is grey).
I like the full head coverage in back that other helmets are lacking.

Purchased one for my 7yo daughter, she loves it. It's not too heavy and doesn't make her head sweaty. I like it because it's very well made and super adjustable. Compared to some of the other helmets I've seen this one provides superior protection. A great investment!

I've had many helmets in the past and my Tipperary surpasses them all. It is supremely comfortable. It has many vents in it so you don't boil on hot summer days but it is very sturdy and I feel very safe in it. This is an awesome helmet at an awesome price.
